School Giving Kids Too Much “art” Crap to Take Home? Anyone Agree on This?
Question by ?Kit-Kat?: School giving kids too much “art” crap to take home? Anyone agree on this? I was home schooled my whole life, and any kind of “art” projects that my mom made us do were useful things. Now that I’m older I see all these little kids CONSTANTLY bringing home these things that they make at school. I think that A. They’re wasting things like paper, glue, paint, buttons..Etc B. They’re just cluttering the parents home up. You can only show off your kids “art” so much. Maybe if they got the kids to make something that was a bit more useful. Not a sock with cotton stuffed in it, and decorative buttons on glued onto it. What’s that even suppose to be? and is it even teaching our kids anything?? How to use glue? seriously? Kids drawings of nothing but scribbles, I love it! But when the TEACHERS are doing 90% of the work, and just telling the kid how to do the other 10%, yeah..Not loving that so much. Best answer ...
Home Art: Learn to Paint for Your Home Art Projects
Tired of looking at the painting on display on your favorite neighborhood art museum? Asking yourself over and over again for ways to learn to paint so you can actually get around to making your own painting? There are many art enthusiasts all over the country who want to begin their own entry into the art world, but have no idea how. Ask any art love, however, and one of the most common ideas they will tell you is that art is a way of life and not simply a canvass with paint on it. Whatever age you may be in and whatever other things you may have been preoccupied with in life, there is no better time than now for learning how to paint for home art projects that once seemed so far out of reach. Way of life Art as a way of life is something that transcends the technical skills that are usually associated with the fine arts. Many people are intimidated by the idea of being compared to a well-know artist. Many also box themselves in by focusing too much on comparisons between them and ...
I Don’t Know What to Major In!!?
Question by Haley B: I don’t know what to major in!!? For the longest time of my life I wanted to major in piano, but now I barely practice and to tell the honest truth, I DON’T want to be a concert pianist, that doesn’t mean I don’t want to play though. I also play the viola, and I’ve really been improving a lot lately and I enjoy it a great deal, but even then, I still don’t think I would be happy studying classical and doing music in that environment. Recently I’ve been learning German and Spanish and last year I discovered that I have a real knack for languages. German is my favorite, and I’ve been teaching myself at home for about 9 months now. Since I’m pretty sure I don’t want to MAJOR in music anymore, I would love to pursue a career as a translator/interpreter, or do something else in languages. But even then, I still have doubts about everything all the time. This is a preview of I Don’t Know What to Maj ...

It starts with a robbery that went bad and one of the men get captured I think, and takes the fall for his whole team; while his team keeps the money and live it up. He’s in prison for a long time and when he gets out, begins seeking revenge on his team, one by one. Along the way, he meets a woman who is an art dealer and falls in love with her. Turns out, she’s related to one of his targets, who has become a head in the art world. I remember one part of the film that just did it for me, was when he was trying to convince the girl to go out with him and she is driving him home. He asks her something along these lines: “In the art world, how do you ask a woman to breakfast?” “Would it be breakfast in bed?” “Oui” “Well, there are a number of way: You could die for her, pledge your eternal love f ...
Home Fine Art: Wall Tapestries as a Popular Choice for Home Decor
Textiles and tapestries have been used for hundreds of years in the decoration of homes and retain their popularity today. Tapestry is a sophisticated art form that enjoys a variety of cultural origins, media and historical contexts. A variety of designs can be transformed into tapestries including landscapes, still life, abstract, nature and fantasy. Several artists sign agreements to adapt their work in this way, adding a new perspective to the original design. Tapestry wall hangings enable the art lover to use creativity in enhancing the modern home with adapted designs. A Modern Perspective on a Traditional Craft Wool was used in creating traditional tapestries, particularly those from the medieval era.
