Your high school should define that. Normally it’s studio art, art history, drama, choir, music classes (sometimes band). Home ec and parenting are definitely NOT fine arts.
Fine arts are painting, sculpture, architecture, music and poetry, drama and dancing. I’ve seen classes in ceramics and photography too.
“Fine art” usually refers to any of the arts – music, art (like the painting/sculpture kind), and theater. Some schools may consider things like dance or fashion design art as well. Generally it only counts if you’ve taken a class – simply playing piano for a year is not sufficient if you did not take a music class at school. Parenting and home ec would not count. So if you have one year of band class you should satisfy the requirement.
